Rachel will make her debut with Kokandy Productions in Chicago this summer!
Rachel will be making her debut with Kokandy Productions in the Chicago premiere of the musical Amélie, based on the 2001 film of the same name. She will be playing the roles of Amandine/Philomene. You can read more about the show and Kokandy's upcoming season here.
March 28, 2025:
Rachel will star as Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame!
Rachel performed as Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame with The Highland Park Players. The production ran for one weekend from March 28 - 30, 2025 at the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center in Wilmette, IL. You can read an interview about the show here.

February 20, 2025:
Rachel will star as
The Bird Woman &
Miss Andrew in
Mary Poppins!
Rachel was back at Metropolis Performing Arts Center to perform in Disney's Mary Poppins as The Bird Woman and Miss Andrew. The production opened on February 20, 2025 and ran through March 09, 2025 in Arlington Heights, IL. You can read more about the show here.

September 26, 2024:
Rachel stars as Marie in Cinderella!
Rachel performed as the Fairy Godmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella in the fall of 2024. The production opened on September 26 and ran through October 20, 2024 at the Metropolis Performing Arts Center in Arlington Heights, IL. You can read more about the show here.

June 30, 2024:
Rachel stars as Angela in Honky Tonk Angels!
Rachel made her Little Theatre on the Square debut this past June! She played the role of Angela in the country music show "Honky Tonk Angels". The show ran from June 20-30 in Sullivan, IL.

September 8, 2022:
Rachel stars as Karin in Church Basement Ladies!
Rachel will be performing at the Cornwell Dinner Theatre this fall. The production opens on September 8 and runs through October 29 in Marshall, MI. You can read more about the show and purchase tickets here.

August 3, 2022:
Rachel performs in New Faces Sing Broadway 1971 concert!
Rachel made her debut with Chicago's Porchlight Music Theatre in their New Faces Sing Broadway 1971 Concert. She sang "Could I Leave You?" and "Too Many Mornings" from Sondheim's Follies along with a couple of group numbers from musicals that premiered in 1971. You can read more about the event here.
July 14, 2022:
Rachel stars in her
first equity production as the Witch in
Into the Woods!
Rachel spent three weeks in New Orleans rehearsing and performing as the Witch in "Into the Woods" with Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre. You can read an article about the show here. She is now an Equity Membership Candidate.

September 30 2021:
Rachel stars as Bea Bottom in Something Rotten!

"Something Rotten" was set to open in March 2020 in Palatine. After making it through the final dress rehearsal, the show was shut down due to COVID. 18 months later this sensational musical is up and running at Cutting Hall in Palatine through October 24, 2021.
The reviews are in and the following has been said about Rachel. "Rachel Carreras is Bea, Nick’s loving and supportive wife, and boy, can that girl sing – she’s a Broadway belter. She also has a comforting, expressive face. Both Carreras and McCormack are strong, vibrant actresses and as equally charismatic as their male counterparts." August 11 2020:
Playbill's
"Search for a Star" Competition
Playbill received a total of 2,658 submissions from hopefuls across the nation. Rachel was chosen to be one of the featured videos in the Week 4 highlight of the Playbill.com "Search for a Star" competition. You can see the Playbill article and view her video here.


Rachel represented Big Noise Theatre in the Cabaret Games for the Contemporary Musical Thatre week! She performed alongside other emerging stars with guest hosts and judges such as Laura Osnes, Jason Robert Brown, Jessica Vosk, Chris Jones and Lesli Margherita.
She took first place in Episode #1 with guest host Katherine Steele and guest judge Samantha Pauly (Broadway: SIX). The episode aired on The Cabaret Games Facebook page on Sunday, July 5 at 7 p.m. CST.
